The Presentation Coaching Clinic
Programme is a complementary service provided to Effective Speaking
clients. The programme provides follow-up to the work done during
workshops and one-on-one coaching.
What Happens
We provide more speaking
opportunities, exercises, activities and training. Use the clinic
to refresh, practice or fine-tune any of the skills that you learned
when working with us. So it's an opportunity to:
- practice an upcoming presentation
- get feedback on your content,
delivery, PowerPoint
- try out various ideas that you have
for a presentation
- experiment with interactive
audience techniques
- reinforce the confidence skills
that you learned from us
- practice handling questions from
the audience
- get used to being in front of a
group
- stop yourself from getting rusty as
a speaker
- test new material.
And of course, you'll receive the
empowering 'instant-replay' coaching that makes Effective Speaking
programmes unique.
Who Can Come
- Any person who has attended an
Effective Speaking presentation training
course or received One-on-One
coaching.
- You may bring a non-client guest to
a clinic. Guests may only attend once.
- If you're thinking of becoming an
Effective Speaking client you're welcome to attend. Please register here.
- The clinics are not available to
the public.
How Much
The clinics are complementary to our
clients and their guests.

Theme: Banish Bullets! - how to use PowerPoint to impress, not depress,
your audience.
We'll look at::
- how text (bullet-points) interferes
with narration
- when to use a slide and when not
- how to create slides that clarify
rather than confuse
- about video, graphics and
PowerPoint's picture controls
- using graphic animation to
reinforce your point
- common technical disasters and how
to avoid them
- that notes are not slides are not
handouts
- when and how to turn the slideshow
off
- secret keyboard techniques to
enhance your presentation
- how to use PowerPoint as a secret
autocue
- free web resources that will
enhance your PowerPoint shows.
The Coaching Clinics take place every
three months.
